• New month, new me 🌱

  This month I’m really trying to work on personal growth. Infact, that’s what most of my goals are based around, so why don’t I just list them all: limit anxiety, be myself, be confident in myself, be able to say ‘no’, dedicate time for myself (selfcare/me-time), make memories, be creative and develope my water colour skills. Okay so some miscellaneous ones slipped in there but still… A few are specific to certain things that got me down in the last month and I think they come with little explanation. In other words I think they are universal experiences. Every month, I make a collage of my goals using Pinterest + Canva and set it as both my phone wallpaper and desktop background. I find it’s quite useful and work like a more specific yearly vison board (in which I have too, hanging in my room). As you can see, I’ve set this month’s vision board as the cover to relect on my goals for February. I like to set it as black and white so it’s aesthetic and the colours don’t clash. • Music! Music! Music!

  As the blog goes on, some of you might be getting to know my hobbies and interests. If it isn’t obvious, I love music! Let me expose my spotify wrapped so you get a sense of my music taste: Top artists: 1. Taylor Swift 2. Sabrina Carpenter 3. sombr 4. Benson Boone 5. Dua lipa | Top songs: 1. 12 to 12 2. undressed 3. crushing 4. i wish i knew how to quit you 5. Mystical Magical | Minutes listened: 21,111 | Top Genre: Indie PopWell there it is. I swear I don’t listen to Taylor that much… And tell me how moonbeam ice cream made the cut?! But that’s not what I really want to talk about. I want to discuss recent favs and new drops. First off, sombr releasing ‘homewrecker’ out of the blue! What is going on? Is there a new album or what? My mind is racing with questions. The song itself is so good! If you haven’t already, you should give it a listen. Not too long ago, Harry Styles released his new single ‘Aperture’ and announced a new tour and album on its way. Aperture is a techno-pop song and in general just such a vibe. I’m so excited for the new album. On another note, this comes at actually quite a good time because I’m just discovering Harry Styles. Maybe I’ve confused you. What I’m trying to say is I’m finally listening to his whole discovery and not just his main-stream songs. Of course I’ve known ‘As it was’ and ‘Watermelon sugar’ for a long time now. Personal favorites include: ‘She’, ‘Treat people with kindness’, ‘Love of my life’ and ‘Daylight’. Really there’s too many to name! Anyways, I know what I’ll be doing on March 6th. Someone new I’ve been listening too is Madison Beer. If you didn’t hear, her new album ‘locket’ came out on the 16th of January and some of them have been making their way onto my shuffle. Because I don’t have spotify premium (one of my greatest downsides), my alexa plays what she wants when she wants. It’s not the worst though, honestly, it’s how I discover new music. I have only listened to a few songs from the new album (‘bittersweet’ , ‘bad enough’ , ‘healthy habit’) and so far so good. I’m yet to listen to the rest of the album but I’m quite excited. Who knows, I might be telling you in the near future how big of a Maadison Beer fan I am. Finally here are some absolutely random songs that have made the monthly playlist: 🞗 ‘Tornado Warnings’ by Sabrina Carpenter - Such a good song, why am I just discovering it? 🞗 Bruno Mars’ classics: ‘Finesse’ , ‘Treasure’ , ‘Versace on the floor’ , ‘Skate’ and even his new one ‘I just might’ has been added. 🞗 ‘Stateside’ by PinkPantheress feat. Zara Larsson - Don’t frown on it just because it’s supposedly a ‘tiktok’ song! 🞗 ‘No control’ by 1 Direction - Hidden gem of a song 🞗 ‘All falls down’ and ‘Through the wire’ by Kanye West - Good songs just so random compared to the rest 🞗 ‘Already over’ by Sabrina Carpenter - Underrated. • Who else is making 2026 the new 2016?

  I don’t know about you but I have been loving this trend so much! Photo dumps from 2016 have been taking over my feed like crazy. Like have you even seen Hailey Beiber’s? She absolutely peeked in 2016! Not to mention the music! I guess I’ve been looping ‘Lean on’ by Major Lazer just to feel something. All the songs back then were just absolute bops. As a family who would frequently by the newest ‘Now that’s what I call music’ cd, back in the day, and have it looping all summer, all the songs are just so nostalgic! Like I have such vivid memories of belting Calvin Harris songs in the car with my sisters. But the whole 2016 aesthetic is just so… ✧*perfect✧* For example, picture this: It’s the summer holidays and the sun is shining bright. You head to starbucks with your friends and you all get the unicorn frapuccino. You then skateboard to the peer passing palm trees on the way. It’s just perfect isn’t it? Oh and I absolutely love the 2016 trends. Fake moustaches, ripped jeans, dabs and quirky fits, 2016 had it all. As a big Pinterest user, I really think it hit it’s peak in 2016. The trends were there, the aesthetics were there and the birth of polaroids and poses for pics came to life. The sandy beach poses still live on! But man I wish I had a polaroid camera, or even just a digital camera, or disposable! I just think having a physical camera to document your life (summer in particular) is just so fun. I think the reason this whole 2016 trend has come up is because it was such an iconic year for many. They say every girl has that one perfect summer, and I think this is the case: everyone is loving reliving it! I was a bit young back then, so that’s especially why I am embodying the 2016 perfect summer energy. Now I am yet to experience my perfect summer, but I am manifesting it to be this year.
